Alabama Corn Sunset

I remember this one. I had been anticipating the sunset all afternoon, seeing the clouds and how the sky was getting ready for a perfectly dramatic end to the day.
Indeed it was. There are two of these, actually. One was a panoramic of about forty-five images combined. Gigantic when it was finished. But this one has a crisp view of the corn.
I was spotted by some passerby who didn't know who I was - until they got a little closer. They recognized me and laughed. It was their field (and I knew that) and I've always got permission to photograph it so long as no one is working. But when you see someone standing on top of a Ford Explorer in the middle of road between two crops...well, you've got to check on it and find out what's up. It just so happens I had photographed their daughter's senior portraits and their nephew's wedding.
I'm really excited about the landscapes I'm adding. I had forgotten a lot of these so I'm really glad I've been going down memory lane.
This was September of 2021, just shortly before my first trip to Yellowstone. I think we all remember that year and the year before.
I'd like to forget it but at the same time, so many memories were made.
This is available as metal prints, canvas, and acrylic print.
