Award-winning digital art featuring a heron at Alabama Point in Orange Beach, Alabama.
100/100 Score in print competition, receiving the designation of Loan (now Imaging Excellence) Collection by Professional Photographers of America.
Photographed this heron for about thirty or forty-five minutes on the beach. It gave me so many poses but this is the one that provided the best composition. Created the graphite style by hand using Photoshop brushes made from pencils and charcoal. The texture was added as well to give it the paper drawing feel.
This is a great addition to more monotoned beach houses and condos but can also work for everyone across our country, where herons can be found. I used to think herons weren't that special and were ugly, until I started creating artwork from their imagery. Now I take every opportunity to photograph them.
Available on Fine Art Torchon Paper in modern metal frames that match the monotone coloring and Float Frames (the better choice for the minimalist).
