This was a close up of a cascading waterfall. I really enjoyed it as a sort of abstract piece. The flow of water around the rocks is mesmerizing and every time I look at it, I can hear the water flowing, the birds chirping, the cold of the snow that was around me, and the smell of the fresh mountain air.
My friend and I from the trip were spending an extra day in Montana and we decided to hike one of the national forests. A bear was in the area - not too far away from us since we found his tracks - so we were being extra cautious on this two-mile trail. It also hailed on us on the trail. When we got to the end and got to the waterfall, it was totally worth it. We each set up in our spots and got different views and angles. Unfortunately, the color of the falls was beginning to get murky thanks to the melting snow.
This was also one week before the major floods of 2022 which devastated Gardiner and the North Entrance to Yellowstone so you can imagine how much snow and water was flowing here.
