Aspens in Autumn - Artistic Filter - Canvas & Wood

A cluster of aspens growing off the trail in Yellowstone. Seemed a perfect little piece to photograph, not my usual thing. I loved it. I applied a paint filter on it - nothing by hand here - and enjoyed that interpretation.

This was from a hike in the Slough Creek Trail. I was overweight but determined to make it to the top of the climb and back. This was on the way back - before the downward slope - and I was taking my time purposely not just to admire the beauty but also because I was worn out.

I think it was this trail that truly inspired me to get out and get in shape - or at least get a bit more active to avoid situations where I'm spending 2 hours climbing what other did in thirty minutes. Now I look for aspens every time I'm out west so that I can add that to the collection of beautiful trees. I also love hearing trivia about aspens and how they grow. It's amazing that this entire cluster is one root system. God is awesome.
